This site may be devoted to teaching you how to make huge profits from your small list, but never forget that building your list is the most important part of your online business. Every day you must engage in at least one activity that will help you to add names to your list.

You will want to create several different opt-in pages that will attract different segments of your market. For example, I have recently added a page that will help me to reach the work at home mom’s that would benefit from what I am teaching online. That page looks very different from one that attracts men in their 30’s or people over 50 who are struggling with technology. Even though I serve all of these markets, the initial page they sign up for will look very different.

Write articles, post to your blog, use Twitter and Facebook, and hold regular teleseminars to reach more people and have them join your list. List building and marketing is a worthwhile activity that will increase your bottom line.

Did you know that you could have a guest blogger post to your blog? What I like best about this is the idea of having someone else share content and information with my list.

Sometimes the guest blogger will promote their own products and services using your affiliate link. Other times they will tell your readers about what you have to offer. Either way it’s a win-win-win for you, the guest blogger, and your readers.

As soon as the post appears, email your list with a link. Encourage them to visit your blog, read the post, and leave a comment. Tell them about what is being offered so they will be ready and anticipate the offer.

More than anything else, your prospects want to be able to connect with you directly. The best way to do this is to hold regular teleseminars where they can ask you anything. I even own the domain, AskConnieAnything.com, so that my calls are easy for people to find.

I started doing this in 2007. On one of my early calls someone asked me if I had a mentor program. My mentor program was born on that day. Before that I had planned on starting my own coaching program eventually, but when someone asked me about it on a live call, there just wasn’t any reason to wait any longer.

Schedule regular teleseminars, weekly or biweekly, to answer questions and to make yourself available to your prospects. Your business will grow and the people on your list will be more likely to do business with you now and in the future.
