This type of technology allows you at show your screen while you are teaching and presenting. This is an intimate setting that allows you to share an experience with your prospects and clients. No matter if you are teaching a course and need to show the exact methods you use, or if you are preparing a PowerPoint presentation, this will work well for you. Remember to think about the audience you are presenting to, the way you will package your webinar as a product in the future, and how you will follow up with your prospects after the training is over.

I have taught several programs using this business model, and I will tell you that it can be very rewarding. It also helps you to build a relationship with the person who created the program to begin with, which may lead to joint ventures in the future.

The best programs to teach are ones that require additional training and assistance for those who sign up. One of the products I teach is the one I mentioned earlier; a shopping cart and autoresponder system that can be quite confusing for those who are new online. Once a month I hold a webinar training where they can ask their questions and watch me set up the various parts of the system. There is no charge for them to attend; I am receiving a commission each month from the fees they are paying. This works out well for everyone involved.

You must decide up front how much your time is worth. Once you decide what that is you can begin to plan how much time you are willing to spend teaching the program, course, or system. I knew that I would have more people signing up over time, so I was willing to spend more of my time in teaching. Within a few months I was earning twice my hourly rate, so this was a good idea. You’ll have to evaluate what will work best for you and how you will teach the people who come to you.

You can see that this can be a business model that will work well for you, especially when you are new online. I encourage you to find at least one program to teach that falls into this category and watch as your business grows to new levels over time.

One of the smartest things you can ever do when marketing your business online is to ask the people who are already on your list what they want from you. This is the way to connect with them and to find out how you can best serve them with your knowledge and expertise of your niche topic.

Hold a teleseminar and invite them to ask you anything. I have done this regularly since 2007 with great success. Once I know what my list wants from me, I prepare a course to teach them.

My most recent course teaches how to market for small businesses. My people told me they wanted to be able to make money by blogging and marketing for businesses in their city. I have been doing this since 2006, so I created a course so they could do it as well.

When you are just starting out, you usually do not have any products or courses of your own. Or, if you have created your first product, it may not be something that will be a huge money maker right away. So how do you get your name out there and start making money doing what you love? By teaching someone else’s content.

I continue to do this even though I have more than a dozen products and courses of my own. I just finished co-teaching a course on starting your online business with my friend and colleague Dr. Jeanette Cates. During the last week of the class I asked Jeanette if I could teach the content in her membership site to both her students and mine. She agreed, and this training begins on Wednesday, August 12, for 12 weeks.

We will have a webinar each week, and I will guide you through the 12 Modules of her program. The way I make money is to bring in people from my list through my affiliate link, and then by connecting with her students during the 12 weeks to let them know what it is like to receive my technology training.

When the 12 weeks is up I am hoping that many of my students will be anxious to learn more from her, and that many of her students will want to continue with me in one of my programs. Both of us benefit, as well as the hundreds of people we will be teaching during this time.

Find a product or course that you can offer to your list in a similar way. Most people will be open to this type of arrangement and you will have one more way to make profit from your small list.
