Interviews As A Marketing Strategy – Just Say Yes!

Interviews have been around forever, but think of them as a way to communicate with your prospects in a new way if you haven’t been using them regularly. You can increase both your credibility and visibility by interviewing others and allowing other people to interview you. When making this a part of your online marketing strategy, you will want to think about a few things, including where to find the people you will interview, how to give the best possible information while you are being interviewed, and what to do to monetize the entire process.

On the ‘About Page’ of your blog, let it be known that you are available for all interviews. Include some details about the topics you are an expert on, and the titles of some of these. You want to make sure to give the reader as much information as possible so they will know if you are right for their audience. Do this same thing when you are looking for people who may be a good fit for your audience.

Anyplace you go to network with others, whether it is online or offline, let it be known that you have a topic to speak about. Finally it will be common knowledge that you are interested and available to be interviewed and looking for others to interview as well.

Think about how you will monetize these opportunities in advance. There are a variety of possibilities, including selling a package of interviews later on, charging a fee initially, and promoting your own and affiliate products during the interview. I use this service for all of my interviews and teleseminars. You can sign up for a 21 day trial for only $1 to see if this strategy is for you.

Interview The Experts In Your Niche – And Let Them Interview You

When I was new online I did not understand how I would ever be able to interview anyone, let alone be interviewed by others. After the first year I finally got up enough courage to ask two people if I could interview them, and they both agreed. Each person was someone I had purchased a course from, so I was a little bit more comfortable in asking them. They sent me some questions to ask during the interviews, and they went very well.

Within a few months I started doing my own teleseminars. Within a month or so people began asking if they could interview me. I was flattered, and agreed to all interviews. By the end of my second year online I fell into the routine of interviewing and being interviewed on a regular basis. This also helped me to build my credibility and increase my visibility much faster than if I had remained solitary in my business.

Tell your list whenever you are being interviewed so they will have the opportunity to listen. You will share more during than interview than you ever could in your emails or blog posts. This helps you to position yourself as an expert and grow your business quickly.

Interview Your Prospects To Build Your Credibility With Your List

There are people on your list right now, no matter how many people you currently have, that would make excellent joint venture partners. They have joined your list because of an interest in your topic, so reach out to them and see if they would make a good interview subject.

Connecting with the people who have found you online makes sense. We all learn from each other. Building relationships with others will be crucial to your success on the internet. I have now interviewed more than fifty people in the last couple of years that I connected with through my list. This has been good for all of us and resulted in joint venture opportunities I might never have had. You can do the same thing. It will help you to build credibility in your niche and give you people to interview for the others on your list.

Interview Someone Special For Your List

Interviews are a powerful way to connect with your list. At least once a month I like to interview someone special for my people. I choose someone who has something special to offer the people who trust me to share my knowledge with them.

Last month I interviewed Tracy Childers, the co-founder of Wishlist Member. This is a WordPress plug-in that turns your WordPress blog into a membership site. I have four of these membership sites set up already, so I knew my list would want to hear more and to be able to ask Tracy their specific questions.

So now you may be thinking ‘So how do I find people
